Ubisoft says Aveline may make an appearance in Exclusive PS3 and PS4 Content for "AC4: Black Flag"

When Ubisoft initially announced the creation of Aveline de Grandpré, the first female playable character in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you could tell she’d hit a chord by the best of indicators: despite her costume involving multiple layers, distressed fabrics, studs, buckles, leather, and custom weapons… there was cosplay immediately. This was despite the fact that the game she starred in was available only for a poorly selling handheld device rather than a major console release. But Ubisoft has just confirmed that Aveline will be getting her console debut with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Pirates Black Flag.

Patch changes for Assassin's Creed III: Liberation

What does the new patch for Assassin's Creed III Liberation do?

SO UBISOFT actually got around to fixing the errors in Liberaton somewhere around last month (December 12, 2012). The problem is that they or the gaming websites never bothered to make an announcement about it. The news about the game's first and second patches are restricted to the support website itself. I knew you didn't give a shit about Liberation, Ubisoft, but damn, you ignored it completely.

Assassin's Creed Sale on PlayStation Network

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has become one of the most successful this generation: after a humble start, the game has become of the most appreciated and sold. The latest entries of the series, Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation have been only released last month and they’re already considered as the best of the franchise. If you are still holding off, you may be happy to know that Ubisoft has teamed up with Sony to create a special offer on the North American Playstation Store.

Until the end of the weekend, players can buy both Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation with a nicely discounted price, with 35% off the full price. The Gold edition of Assassin’s Creed 3, containing the full game and the season pass, which will allow you to download any present and upcoming DLC for free, is also discounted with a 35% off. Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation save corruption bug to be squashed soon

The widely reported save corruption bug for Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation will be wiped out (instead of player's save files) in an upcoming patch. Eurogamer reported on the issue earlier last month and we've been poking Ubi with pointy objects ever since to get a legit answer on what's up. Last night, the publisher got in touch.

"Our team is in the process of finalizing the first patch for Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation," the Ubisoft statement to us reads. "This will address the save game corruption issue that you asked about [previously]. We'll have a better idea on the timing of the patch soon."

So, if you're grabbing Liberation during some Black Friday deal, if you can keep your animus instincts in check, it may save potential heartache to wait for the patch. [SOURCE]

Assassin's Creed 3 and Liberation Cross-Connectivity Detailed

Ubisoft has finally explained exactly what bonus features those who buy both Assassin's Creed 3 on the PS3 and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation can expect as a reward for their (forced) Sony loyalty. Community developer Gabriel Graziani took to PlayStation's US blog to set out the details, one day before the game launched (or will launch, depending on your timezone) in the states.

Sounds Like Assassin’s Creed III is Getting a TON of DLC

We were sent this image (below) over the weekend, reportedly a little note sent out by Ubisoft to GameStop stores patting them all on the back for their stellar efforts in bugging enough of you into preordering a game that they hit a quota.

After that's done, though, we're told that Ubisoft has formed a team specifically to create post-release DLC for Assassin's Creed III, and that there'll be enough of it to warrant some kind of "season pass" being sold for the game which would presumably entitle purchasers to a discount rate for buying all of it at once.

Assassin's Creed 3 Gold Edition pre-order price £109.99

A new digital version of Assassin's Creed 3 is available to pre-order from the EU PlayStation Store, priced £109.99. Dubbed the "Gold Edition", the download includes Assassin's Creed 3, PlayStation Vita sister title Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation and, a first for the series, a Season Pass. Another version of the Gold Edition features everything but Liberation, presumably for gamers without a Vita. That costs £84.99.

Then there's a third version, with Liberation but without the Assassin's Creed 3 Season Pass, for those who may not want all the DLC. Again, that's £84.99. All versions include A Dangerous Secret, the extra mission available with the GAME-exclusive Special Edition. To complicate matters further there's also the even more lavish Freedom Edition and Join or Die Edition, which come with various physical bits and bobs.

Assassin's Creed 3 getting PS3-exclusive DLC

Assassin's Creed 3 will get PlayStation 3-exclusive DLC at the game's release, Ubisoft has announced, after demoing an impressive new naval warfare section of the game. The deal is similar to how Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on PS3 got the Copernicus Conspiracy mission on day-one, too.
