With just over a month until the release of Assassin’s Creed 3 and AC3 Liberation it’s obvious that Ubisoft will now start to shift the marketing of both titles up a gear, which is why they have just released a bunch of new screenshots. However, the most interesting part is how these new screens seem to hint at the possibility of cross play.
If this is the case then the two titles will be integrated much closer than we had first assumed, which can only help the PS Vita, which as we know has not been doing as well as Sony had hoped. In one of the new images that you can see above you can clearly see Connor and Aveline fighting the enemy back-to-back, surely this means that both protagonists will be fighting side-by-side?
However, according to an article here there is a chance that you could play as either protagonist in each version of Assassin’s Creed III, what do you think the chances of that are? Having said that, we might be looking too much into these screenshots, as we already know that Aveline will meet up with Connor within Liberation, but to what extent we have yet to find out.
Ubisoft has been very generous with what they have been sharing with us so far in terms of gameplay and features, but they did say that they will still be keeping some gems back, maybe this is one of them? There’s also a bunch of other images here, one of which shows the lighter side of the game where you can see NPCs building snowmen.
Much has been discussed concerning the accuracy of AC3 in terms of the history, and a recent dev video diary has discussed how they have been able to utilize the historical data for not only certain settings but also great moments that took place at the time of the American Revolution.
From what we have seen so far Assassin’s Creed 3 looks set to be the best from the franchise yet, not only because of the precession to detail, but also the brutality of the game as well. However, if there is to be cross play with Liberation then this will be the icing on the cake.
